Websense reports trojans found on electronics giant’s servers.
A US-hosted website belonging to
Samsung Telecommunications America
, a subsidiary of South Korean electronics giant
Samsung
, has been playing host to numerous items of malware for some time, according to web security firm
Websense
. It is believed the site has been compromised in some way by hackers, who are using it to serve up their trojans.
In a report from the web watchers, the
Samsung Telecom
site is said to have been most recently carrying a trojan intended to disable AV software, log keystrokes and download further malware. No exploit code is being used, and it is suggested victims have been lured to the site via IM or email links.
Websense
has informed
Samsung
