RSA to provide trojan removal services

Anti-fraud system provides avenue for reporting and stopping targeted attacks.

has announced a new system to block spyware and phishing fraud, by taking down sites used to spread malware and gather data. The

FraudAction Anti-Trojan Service

will be generally available in April.

RSA

‘s scheme aims to reduce financially motivated malware attacks, by identifying sites hosting malware and acting as drop areas for data gathered by spyware and phishing websites. The service is aimed primarily at banks and other financial institutions, the main target of such attacks.

RSA

will team up with several partners to provide anti-malware detection, used to spot trojans with keylogging and other spyware functionality, and links to ISPs and other online services alongside its existing web analysis systems, to identify suspect sites and arrange to have them shut down.
