This weekend the
call for papers
for
VB2019
, the 29th Virus Bulletin International Conference, will close. For those who like to submit at the very last minute, the CFP closes Sunday (17 March) at midnight Hawaii time (10am GMT on Monday). You will be able to add, view and edit your submissions until the deadline.
The deadline is strict. We already have more submissions than we need and there is no reason for us to extend the deadline – but don’t see this as a reason not to submit!
We will select a little over 40 papers; the exact number depends on a few other factors. Our
goal
is to put together the best programme possible, which may not necessarily mean simply selecting the “best” abstracts, or the abstracts that score the most highly among our reviewers. For this reason, we encourage you to make it as clear as possible in your submission what you believe your paper (and talk) can bring to the conference. If you have more than one topic to present, please make multiple submissions!
To get a feel for the conference you can view
past conference
programmes, read conference papers in our
Bulletin
, or watch talks on our
YouTube
channel
. The core of the programme will focus on threat intelligence, ranging from papers on specific APT groups to more meta-level overviews and from malware analyses to research and detection tools. We do like out-of-the-box submissions as well though, and very much welcome talks about the security industry/community, as well as views from within companies and organisations.
Don’t hesitate to reach out should you have any questions: I read both
email
and
Twitter
DMs throughout the weekend. In case you are unsure about something and the deadline is approaching, do
submit
your proposal and send an email or message at the same time.
