Windows XP products to be tested for June issue.
VB has announced the next round of VB100% comparative testing, to be run on the
Microsoft Windows XP
platform. Submissions of products for testing must be received by VB by the deadline, which has been set for Monday, April 30th.
Testing will take place throughout May, with detection rates and speeds recorded alongside analysis of overall product design and usability. Products which prove capable of detecting 100% of samples on the latest official WildList available from
WildList.org
both on access and on demand, without alerting on false positives in a selection of known-clean files, will qualify for the coveted
VB100
award.
The testsets will be frozen, and the latest updates to the platform applied, on April 27th, and products will be accepted up to April 30th. Vendors wishing to take part in the tests, for which entry is entirely free of charge, should contact
John Hawes
for further details of the submissions and testing procedures.
Results of the tests will appear in the June issue of VB magazine, available only to subscribers. See
here
for subscription information.
